I wanted to take a moment to explain why I charge a fee for participation in portfolio sessions... I also wanted to ensure you that I am keeping these investments as low as possible for the time being as you are doing me a favor. I am making little to no profit from these. The session fee for portfolio sessions solely goes to business expenses such as Studio Rental and Travelling.

Studio Rental: ZLP does not have a home studio, instead various rentable studios are available for booking. Each session requires at least an hour at the studio. Most of your Model Call session fee goes towards the rental of the studio.

Professional Equipment and Setup: The cost of high-quality photography equipment, lighting, and studio space is significant.

Time and Expertise: As a photographer, my work involves more than just taking pictures. The process includes planning the shoot, setting up the equipment, organizing, post-production work, which involves editing and retouching the images to ensure they meet professional standards. This requires a lot time and expertise.

Creating Quality Content: The goal of our model calls is to create exceptional images for both the model’s portfolio and the photographer’s creative collection. By charging a fee, we ensure that both parties are invested in the process, resulting in high-quality content that benefits everyone involved.

Sustainability of the Business: Like any business, photography requires financial support to remain sustainable. The fees collected from model calls contribute to the overall operational costs of running a photography business, including maintenance of equipment, software licenses, and other essential services.
