So, What's a Model Call?

A Model Call, sometimes referred to as a portfolio session, is one that is intended to produce images for ZLP's portfolio, website, and social media platforms.

Here's what I'm looking for:

• Individuals: Age 18+ preferably with large social media following
• Maternity: Age 18+. Expecting Mother should be at least 6 months along.
• Couples: Age 18+. Must be comfortable w close & intimate posing
• Couples/Families with Newborns: Perfect for a "Welcome Home" or Nursery session!
• Families: up to 4 with children up to 12 years old.
• Everyone should already have confidence in front of the camera.
• Open to creative ideas & willing to step out of your comfort zone
• Agrees to post at least 5 images on Social Media from each session

The Most Asked Question: Why aren't these free?

While I am trying to keep the investment on these as low as possible, I wanted to take a moment to explain why I charge a fee for participation in portfolio sessions.

1. Time and Expertise: As a photographer, my work involves more than just taking pictures. The process includes planning the shoot, setting up the equipment, organizing, post-production work, which involves editing and retouching the images to ensure they meet professional standards. This requires a lot time and expertise.
2. Creating Quality Content: The goal of our model calls is to create exceptional images for both the model’s portfolio and the photographer’s creative collection. By charging a fee, we ensure that both parties are invested in the process, resulting in high-quality content that benefits everyone involved.
3. Sustainability of the Business: Like any business, photography requires financial support to remain sustainable. The fees collected from model calls contribute to the overall operational costs of running a photography business, including maintenance of equipment, software licenses, and other essential services.
